Job Description:- Director of Technology: API, Integration & Microservices

As a Director of Technology: API, Integration & Microservices, you play a key role in transforming current state systems and integration architecture into Microservices Architecture and APIs to enable new business capabilities, rapid experimentation and continuous delivery of our enterprise clients and raising engineering excellence in Srijan via coaching, mentoring and grooming engineers particularly in microservices, Domain-Driven Design, TDD etc.

 You are a leader in microservice architecture and APIs and hands-on in programming and your engineering efforts will cross the spectrum from the creation of technology strategy to advising during execution(code reviews, audits, pair programming). You will be working besides delivery teams and other technical architects/leads as an advisory to ensure best practices and often get your hands dirty to solve hard problems, code reviews and be an evangelist for Srijan via representing Srijan in Conferences and writing whitepapers.

Full Description:-  As a Director Technology: API, Integration & Microservices, here’s what we will be looking for you to bring:-

Required Experience/Skills:-

  • You have hands-on programming experience in any of the High-level languages: Java, JS, Python, Golang and are familiar with microservices frameworks like Springboot as you would be required to program/code in this role.
  • You have Subject Matter Expertise in most of the following areas:
  • Business capability and domain modeling, including an understanding of domain-driven design, including modeling of events.
  • Deep understanding of different integration patterns and best practices such as events, synchronous vs. asynchronous messaging, peer-to-peer, Publish-subscribe, distributed logs and RESTful APIs.
  • Microservices topologies, including operational concerns such as resiliency, observability, discovery and routing, etc.
  • Enterprise security design in a Microservices architecture such as the role of Identity Providers and the Authentication / Authorization flow design.
  • Approaches to managing Architectural debt, Architecture governance and evolution in practice.
  • API lifecycle management and the corresponding technologies.
  • You have prior experience in any of the following APIM technologies: APIGee, Kong, WSO2 or other relevant technologies.
  • You can design and build user-centric API ecosystems to drive new consumer experiences and unlock business capabilities.
  • You can collaborate with diverse technical delivery teams to build service-based architecture to scale and innovate.
  • You can speak to various API business models, including internal ROI.
  • You have strong facilitation skills and ensure alignment to architectural vision.
  • Have experience with, and understand how to lead, legacy integration and remediation.
  • You understand the business risks and challenges that organizations face, and the need to align technical strategies with roadmaps that create business capability and opportunity.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interaction at different levels is essential.
  • You can create and guide the vision for evolutionary architecture and adoption roadmaps for our clients.
  • You have good presentation skills – preparing and delivering presentations to senior executives
  • You can explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand

 Preferred Experience/Skills:-

  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in container, cloud-native platforms like Docker/Kubernetes, Service Mesh.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in any of Public Clouds.
  • Vertical expertise: Telecom, Banking.

Eligibility:- Bachelors/Masters degree in IT/Computer Application

This requires significant technology and delivery leadership bandwidth to be created in the firm to ensure our high-quality standards are not compromised.
